Mitocore FAQ

Quick answers to the questions visitors most often ask about Ortho Molecular Mitocore.

So what does Mitocore actually do?

It's a daily multivitamin with extras — the extras being ingredients aimed at the part of the cell that makes energy. Practitioners hand it out for fatigue, brain fog, and post-viral 'I just feel off' complaints. The honest read is at the clinical write-up.

How many capsules a day?

Three with food. If you're someone who gets jittery from B-vitamins, start with one and work up over two weeks. Don't take all three at dinner — split between breakfast and lunch.

Will it keep me awake at night?

It can if you take it too late. The B-complex and NAC are mildly activating. Rule of thumb: don't dose after 2pm.

When do I notice it working?

Not next week. Most people who feel something feel it at week 4 to 6. If you're expecting the lift of a stimulant, this isn't that product.

What about with my prescriptions?

This is the conversation to have with whoever writes your scripts — anticoagulants, methotrexate, nitroglycerin, blood sugar meds all warrant a check-in. The interaction list is worth bringing in.

Is it OK during pregnancy?

Treat it as a gray area. A multi-nutrient like this should go past your midwife or OB first.

Any allergens I should know about?

Free of the big eight by their documentation. If you're sulfur-sensitive, the NAC is the one to flag.

Where's the longer write-up?

Right here — clinician's version, not marketing copy.
